What Type of Ads to Expect with Adsense

Have you learned just enough about Google Adsense to get started? Why don't we fill in some of the advertising gaps with the latest info about monetizing a website with ads.

The ads that Google AdSense serves to your site will normally be on the topic of your site

Google's alogrythm program is very good at making sure you don't get any ads that are beyond family friendly, on your G-rated website. The ads you get will look like they belong there. You will not get ads about ballerinas on your sporting goods site unless you have a ballerina page on your site.

 

Those little robots belonging to Google will look at the relevent keywords in your content and serve ads that relate to that content if you place them wisely

What if I decide not to place ads from a certain advertiser?

Google Adsense offers an ad filter for you to use. You can list the domains that you want to delete from ad placement. If you are an affiliate of Bob Pardue Photography, you do not want Google ads to be displayed from Bob Pardue. So you add bobpardue.com to your ad filters and you won't see any advertisements from that site on your pages.

Only relevant ads please

If you notice an adsense ad on your site that you do not feel is relevant to the content of your website, you just add that domain to your filter. As of this writing, Google allows you to add about 150 different domain names to your filter list.

You don't have to worry an about adding unfavorable sites to these filters because Google will not serve these ads to your site anyway. These filters are basically for eliminating your competition from advertising on your site.

In addition, Google also has their own filters that will make sure you don't get any inappropriate ads.
